Rick Gallagher Project has released a Christian Contemporary Music (CCM) track called 'When I Survey the Wondrous Cross'. This track is part of the EP: 'Upright Sketches: Hymnbook, Vol. II'
The second album in this series of felt piano hymns, Hymnbook, Vol. II, has been released on October 7th. These soulful, mellow, and inspiring volumes contain timeless, creative arrangements of some of the Christian church's most beloved hymns. The contemplative instrumental backdrops of Hymnbook and Hymnbook II are ideal for churches, reading, study, focus, and rest.
Jazz pianist/composer/producer Rick Gallagher has been a part of the Pittsburgh music scene since the late 1980's. Rick is currently the pianist/music director at the Chapel at Orchard Hill Church in Wexford, PA, and can be seen regularly as the pianist with the US Steel Tower downtown. Gallagher's classic jazz style, creative arrangements, memorable originals, and soulful organic sound set him apart. Rick has ten recordings and his music has been played on radio stations all over the world.
Rick began releasing instrumental music in other genres in 2018. Rick Gallagher Project is Pittsburgh-based composer/pianist/producer Rick Gallagher's cross-genre music platform. Rick has currently released six solo felt piano albums. This album series, titled 'Upright Sketches,' was composed in a variety of styles ranging from neoclassical to modern contemporary film music.
