Red Letter Society - Live at Village Church (CCM)

Red Letter Society - Thirst - Live at Village Church
Red Letter Society has released a Christian Contemporary Music (CCM) album called 'Live at Village Church'. An album with the most favorite songs written and produced by Red Letter Society, in Virginia.

The album has 7 uplifting tracks performed and recorded live at Village Church, such as:

  • Surrendered Hearts
  • Thirst
  • MOUNTAIN
  • OCEAN
  • 100x
  • Matthew 5
  • Fill My Heart / Reprise

Each song is an earnest attempt, both lyrically and musically, to imagine meeting God face to face and experiencing the awesome power of His presence.

You can listen to the songs individually, but if you have the time... it is well worth watching the entire live performance on the following YouTube video

Personally, I like the video because it not only allows you to see the person behind each voice, but it also allows you to feel the vibe during the performance.

I selected the song 'Thirst' as the sample song for this album. I trust that you will agree that when you listen to this song, you'll 'thirst' for more. ;-)

About Red Letter Society

We call ourselves “Red Letter Society” because we truly believe and have experienced the transformative power of God’s Word. In older Bibles, the words of Jesus were typically printed in red. So, our name was chosen to reflect a deep commitment to studying, communicating, and obeying God’s Word.

As a group of worship leaders from churches across the Central Virginia area. We love serving the local church and are passionate about seeing theologically sound music being sung in churches across the world.

'Lonely Dirt Road' by Dax: A Journey to Solitude and God

Dax's 'Lonely Dirt Road' is a conversation that Dax has with himself and God. Dax shares his journey of turning mental health walks into healing solitary drives. As you listen, you can almost feel the cruise, where it's just you, your thoughts, and God.  The chorus is so relatable: 'When I need space, that's where I go, a place to escape that nobody knows.' What do you do when life's pressures stack high? Do you also have a space where you can let go? That lonely dirt road that Dax sings about symbolizes solitude, but it is also an incredible opportunity for connecting with God.  Dax's honesty is raw and relatable. 'I didn't want my family to see me cry… dealing with the pressure of trying to provide.' There are times when we all put on a smile to hide how challenging situations may be. Like his father, Dax says that he finds peace on this lonely road, where challenges become opportunities to grow. This shows the core of our faith: that...

"Rider of Glory" by Whispering Hope: The King Returns Victorious

Imagine the skies tearing open with a thunderous cry. Difficult to imagine? Well, based on Revelation 19 and Daniel 7, we believe that day will come! When the skies tear open, it announces the moment we all have been waiting for.  Whispering HOPE captures this moment in "Rider of Glory," a track that talks about Christ's return as the conquering King. The lyrics paint a vivid picture: "The Faithful True rides forth again," an arrival that doesn't come with quiet humility, but shatters the prideful kingdoms and men with holy fire and establishes an everlasting reign.  Instead of fear, Whispering HOPE invites us to stand in awe. "All earthly kingdoms fall at His command," a reminder that no human power will or can stand above His authority! The lyrics call us to worship. "Lift up your voices; saints draw near," encouraging us to step out of the shadows and into His light.  Why does this matter today, right where you are, in the present? ...

"Is Anybody There? (Psalm 27)" by Stephen M. Miller: Holding On to Grace at Heaven’s Door

Stephen M. Miller's "Is Anybody There? (Psalm 27)" comes in the quiet aftermath of the Christmas celebrations, when reflection can feel like isolation. Stephen's song isn't about polishing away his mistakes, nor does it encourage you to do so with your mistakes. Stephen shares his painful experience, "I never saw it coming Lord // It felt right but it was wrong // Family and friends have left me // But I still have you and a song."   Stephen owns the fallout of his actions, taking accountability without despair. "I said it and I did it, Lord // Broke more hearts than I'll ever know // I can't fix this, though I've tried // Don't be angry, and please don't go." His song is a prayer for God's presence and guidance. "Hear me when I call you, Lord // Don't turn your face away // Don't give up on me like others have // Come help me through this day." Stephen describes a fear that we too experience when we ...
