What proof do you carry of God’s power?
“Raised in Truth” by God’s Music Collaborators is a testimony of God’s power that started five years ago, when he lost the ability to play bass guitar. Disability took away the instrument that he started music with. But the silence of his bass guitar wasn’t the final word. GarageBand and Beatmaker 3 became his new tools, and his songs kept coming. That’s the season where “Raised in Truth” comes from; what started as a loss now carries a message that is bigger than any instrument could ever carry.
Think about that for a moment. What lie has social media made you believe is true? The song names this modern-day trap: “Believing lies being told by social media spinning around the globe.” We scroll through thousands of voices that claim to know the way. When we look beyond this hyped-up noise, we realize that Jesus made an entirely different claim. John 14:6 recorded His words: “I am the way, and the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.”
Jesus’ words aren’t a suggestion. It’s a rescue rope thrown to someone who is drowning in noise. So, how can you apply a truth that is this solid to your own life? Stop drifting. Stop letting those algorithms disciple you and feed you with content (lies) that leaves you empty and hungry for more. Open your Bible and read the actual words of Jesus. Let His words anchor you when the world spins another story.

Background:
I wrote this song 5 years ago. A long story short I became disabled and could no longer play the instrument that I started music with (bass guitar). However, I still love making music and started using GarageBand and Beatmaker 3 making beats. Then the Lord started giving me lyrics and this was one of many. Raised in Truth is based on the fact that Jesus is the truth spoken of by all the patriarchs that wrote the scriptures and to believe in Him is more than anything the world has to offer. He was raised for the salvation of anyone who believes. And like the song says there isn’t anything He can’t do. And we are the proof!
