Focusing on the emotional state of surrender, Fautt invites the listener to reflect and contemplate. The song captures the feeling of tuning out the worldly noise and opting to find rest in a higher presence. The recurring theme of being kept “low at your feet” (0:57, 2:14, 4:01) serves as a metaphor for our humility. By swallowing our pride, hurts, pains, and our life’s burdens, we are brought to a place of humility where we lay all of these at God’s feet to find peace and comfort in him.
