They sound urgent, sincere, even holy. “Test Every Spirit” by whispering HOPE names that urgency — the voices that pull at us from every direction, the panic that is dressed up as peace. The song points out that real peace never feels restless. Real truth always carries love. These are the first two parts of the test that we can use to discern the truth. Last, but not least… Does this voice sound like Jesus? If the answer is “no” to any part of the test, it fails, no matter how convincing the delivery was.
