Cross Point Music - Oh The Wonder (CCM)

Cross Point Music released the song "Oh The Wonder".

The song is the lead song of a new seven-song EP "Never Going Back" that Cross Point Music is planning to release on July 23rd.

"Oh The Wonder" is a surprisingly joyful song. It was written during the pandemic last August as members of the Cross Point Music worship team were prayerfully asking God, "Where are we and where do we need to go? What's next? Lord give us a song for where you are taking us."

Lyrics:

Dead man walking

Until You breathed

My heart came alive

Came alive for the first time

Once a prisoner

Now I’m free

I feel so alive, so alive for the first time

I feel so alive, so alive for the first time

Oh the wonder

Awesome wonder

Praise the One who took these chains from me

You bought my freedom

Thank You, Jesus

Oh the wonder of Your love for me

Yours forever

How can it be

Hallelujah to the One

To the One who has called me

With thanksgiving

I will sing

Hallelujah to the One, to the One who is worthy

Hallelujah to the One, to the One who is worthy

I’ve got joy that’s found in a heavenly hope

Peace like a river down in my soul

I’m held by the power of the Holy Ghost

Oh what a wonder

If You've tasted the goodness of His grace

Been redeemed by the power of Jesus name

Then shake these walls with a shout of praise

Shake these walls with a shout of praise

'Lonely Dirt Road' by Dax: A Journey to Solitude and God

Dax's 'Lonely Dirt Road' is a conversation that Dax has with himself and God. Dax shares his journey of turning mental health walks into healing solitary drives. As you listen, you can almost feel the cruise, where it's just you, your thoughts, and God.  The chorus is so relatable: 'When I need space, that's where I go, a place to escape that nobody knows.' What do you do when life's pressures stack high? Do you also have a space where you can let go? That lonely dirt road that Dax sings about symbolizes solitude, but it is also an incredible opportunity for connecting with God.  Dax's honesty is raw and relatable. 'I didn't want my family to see me cry… dealing with the pressure of trying to provide.' There are times when we all put on a smile to hide how challenging situations may be. Like his father, Dax says that he finds peace on this lonely road, where challenges become opportunities to grow. This shows the core of our faith: that...

Walk By Faith by Haddon: Moving Beyond Doubt

Have you ever struggled with feelings of doubt? Then "Walk By Faith" by Haddon is definitely a song that will help to change your point of view! Haddon wrote this song when he was struggling with doubts. He shares that he felt like Peter when he tried walking on water. He was basing his faith on feelings in that moment, feelings of fear, doubt, and anxiety. Instead of letting those feelings control him, Hadon turned them into a prayer: "Lord take my doubts and throw them all away // I'm sinking down, help me walk by faith." The song talks about waiting for signs or emotional highs to feel close to God. But Haddon reminds us, "When faith is just a feeling // It's fleeting." Our feelings may constantly be going to and fro, but God's love for us does not. True trust isn't about what we can see or feel; it's all about stepping forward (the leap of faith) even when we think we can't. Haddon admits, "Took 20 years just to teach my h...

'My Inheritance' by Cory Asbury, featuring Corey Kent: A Testimony to Redemptive Love

Listeners are encouraged to join Cory Asbury and Corey Kent on their emotional song, 'My Inheritance,' as they embark on a deeply personal journey of redemption and divine transformation. This song is immersed in genuine reflection, revealing the intricate complexity of both earthly and spiritual inheritance. The lyrics tell a real and heartfelt story about a boy dealing with unresolved feelings for his earthly father. Aspects of this man's legacy speak of a ragged yet important legacy: his love for whiskey, his questionable love for his son, and the guitar he passed down. But, as revealed in the chorus, the ultimate inheritance is a profound understanding of the man he doesn't want to be. However, it is within these trials that the song shows its wonderful truth, the life-changing power of God's unconditional love. The writer finds divine peace in Jesus, who heals with open hands saying, 'Son, I did this for you.' In this divine fatherhood, the inheritance...
