KDMusic - The Grace (CCM)

KDMusic has released a Christian Contemporary Music (CCM) track called The Grace.

THE GRACE is a new worship song with an easily learned, compelling melody to help you & your community sing the Benediction or "The Grace" from 2 Corinthians 13. It uses a familiar structure and joyful Irish melody lines. There are three verses on: The love of the Father, The grace of the Son & the fellowship of the Spirit.

KDMusic - The Grace"Initial inspiration for THE GRACE was this episode of BBC Radio 4's Desert Island Discs with England footballer Ian Wright. His clear love for teacher & father figure Mr. Pigden, a retired WWII Spitfire pilot, moved many people to tears. It reminded us of our own experience of God as adoptive Father with Jesus as our hero & brother. However, it just missed out on the sense of new life through the Fellowship of the Spirit, so we were inevitably drawn to write the song as an exposition of this much-loved benediction."

THE GRACE is written by Ian Hannah & Dave Whitcroft from the music team of Keswick at Portstewart, N.Ireland. Theological supervision & guidance is from Joe Kapolyo (Scripture Union & TCCA Zambia | All Nations Christian College, Hertfordshire | Harare Baptist, Zimbabwe | Edmonton Baptist, London).  Additional thanks to Steve Duncan (Echo Lake Bible Camp, BC Canada).

Scriptural sources include:  2 Corinthians 13  |  1 Corinthians 13  |  Hebrews 4  |  Ephesians 1 & 2  |  Romans 6  |  Romans 12   |  John 14  ~ and many others.

Lyrics:

[Verse 1]

We have a Father whose love endures
Patient, forgiving, our hope secure
You have adopted us as your own
Delight to see us approach your throne

[Chorus]

Love from the Father, and grace from the Son
Joined by the Spirit, eternal “Three in One”
For you’ve made me your child and that cannot be undone
That’s the power, that’s the grace of the Gospel

[Verse 2]

We have a Saviour whose grace so free,
Poured out his riches for bankruptcy
Sprung from our prisons of sin and shame,
We lift our praise to your glorious name

[Verse 3]

Filled by his Spirit who breathes new life
Called to be holy, alive in Christ
Your truth transforms us, renews our minds
Your constant presence, our guard, our guide

[Outro]

The grace of the Lord Jesus Christ, and the love of God,
And the fellowship of the Spirit be with you
Evermore

"Lord You Are So Awesome" by Mario Tucker: Turning Everyday Moments into Praise

“Lord You Are So Awesome” by Mario Tucker is a reminder that worship doesn’t have to be complicated in order to be powerful. The song is based on the fact that what matters the most is that God’s greatness deserves our constant praise. Our praise doesn't have to meet any quality standards for it to be pleasing to God. So, ask yourself... when was the last time that you took a moment to say, “Lord you are so awesome / Lord you are so great / Your name is above the Heavens”? This song invites you to be constantly aware of God’s greatness, and that includes awareness outside the walls of church, like during car rides, your quiet time, and those precious triumphs in life. It's an awareness that leads to response. “So let’s praise and magnify your name.” Praise is not a matter of passively observing and responding... it’s a call to turn your admiration into active devotion. Think about it for a moment: what would change in your life if praise became your first reaction instead of ...

"Heaven On Earth" by Eauclaire: Finding Sacred Wonder in the Everyday

Have you ever struggled to see God's presence in your daily life? After a few chaotic days, it is easy to lose sight of the sacred. "Heaven On Earth" by Eauclaire is all about discovering the sacred in the everyday. An interesting fact is that the song was written beneath the "Looking Glass Arch" at the Heaven on Earth Music Festival in Moab, Utah (USA).  The song emphasizes that heaven isn't just a distant promise. And best of all, we don't need a "looking glass" to see that heaven is right here. So, instead of looking "out in the atmosphere," Eauclaire reminds us to simply "take a minute, take a breath," and get out of your head and into your chest.  Do you trust that God will order your steps, even when life gets heavy? Sure, easy to forget to see His hand around you, and the beauty is that you already have the ability to find His beauty and Love in the "wild flowers," the "golden hour," and even t...

"Repentance (20th Anniversary Edition)" by Thoughts and Notions: Remembering Christ’s Love Through Repentance

Thoughts And Notions released a 20th Anniversary Edition of their song "Repentance," emphasizing that the weight and purpose of this message is still very relevant to us today.  The song was originally inspired by The Passion of the Christ and shaped by the songwriter's memory of seeing a lone cross high above the Swiss Alps. The key message is less about performance and more about our response. It places us at the foot of the cross. When you listen to the lyrics, you'll notice that it is a prayer in song form, and one that looks straight at Christ's suffering. It asks you to reflect on the question: "what will you do with such love?"   The lyrics begin with awe: "I looked at your bloodied face" and "you laid down your life." From there, the lyrics move into an honest confession. "God, how I've been such a fool" isn't despair or an excuse to stay trapped in guilt. It is the first step toward His grace, a journey o...
