WorshipMob - How Will I Know (CCM)

WorshipMob - How Will I Know
WorshipMob has released a Christian Contemporary Music (CCM) track called How Will I Know.

WorshipMob released a version of this song 5 years ago featuring Whitney Houston. WorshipMob released a new live recording of this beautiful song.

Explanation of why WorshipMob chose to worship with this unlikely pop song:

Sean explains (Sean is the WorshipMob director/producer): "This is a modern Psalm for us - David asked these types of questions in his songs as well. Does God want us to hide, when we don't feel His love?  Or is He ok with us asking risky questions from our insecure hearts?  This song expresses, with beautiful lyrics, the excitement, intimacy, and Holy Spirit romance that we often feel, and, in juxtaposition, the loneliness and questioning that also comes with a relationship with God, just as we encounter with any human that we care deeply about.  It asks the real questions that come from our desire to know His love, His closeness, His embrace - for certain, in the often unstable and insecure journey we each battle through in this physical world.  We often feel His presence in the spiritual realm, but all of us still wonder what this means in the physical day-to-day, and what ""knowing God's love"" really means - what does it mean to count on God, or depend on Him?  What does it mean that He protects us and has us in His grip? Why the pain and suffering in this world, then?  Why the feelings of isolation and utter lack, at times?
Let this song be a worship experience where we ask God how we can know if He loves us, and let's see how He answers.  Let's be brave - let's ask the tough questions.  God gave us life abundant - let's learn what that means, together - with a little doubt, and a big bundle of hope.  Blessings, friends."

How Will I Know - lyrics (as adapted by Sam Smith):

Oh, it's You, I know
You're the one I dream of
Looks into my eyes
Take me to the clouds above

Oh, I lose control
Can't seem to get enough
When I wake from dream
Tell me is it really love?

How will I know if You really love me?
I say a prayer with every heartbeat
I fall in love whenever we meet
I'm asking You what You know about these things

How will I know if You're thinking of me?
I try to talk but I'm too shy, can't speak
Falling in love is all bittersweet
This love is strong. Why do I feel weak?

Awake me, I'm shakin'
Wish I had You near me now
Said there's no mistakin'
What I feel is really love

How will I know?

How will I know if You really love me?
I say a prayer with every heartbeat
I fall in love whenever we meet
I'm asking you what You know about these things

How will I know if You're thinking of me?
I try to talk but I'm too shy, can't speak
Falling in love is all bittersweet
This love is strong. Why do I feel weak?

"Guide Me (O, Thou Great Jehovah) / Oceans (Where Feet May Fail)" by Ezra Worship Initiative – Ancient Wisdom, Fresh Waves

I'm sitting in traffic, Spotify on shuffle, listening to my collection of new releases. That's when the song "Guide Me (O, Thou Great Jehovah) / Oceans (Where Feet May Fail)" by Ezra Worship Initiative starts to play. The song starts with a revamp of a 280-year-old hymn "Guide Me O Thou Great Jehovah", and then beautifully transitions to the chorus of Hillsong's "Oceans (Where Feet May Fail)". This medley made my heart do a little cartwheel!  The hymn "Guide Me, O Thou Great Jehovah" (originally "Arglwydd, arwain trwy'r anialwch" in Welsh) by William Williams (a Welsh Methodist preacher) was inspired by the biblical story of the Israelites' exodus from Egypt. Williams wrote this in 1745 as a plea to God for guidance while traveling through life's wilderness. A 280-year-old plea that is still very relevant for us today.  "I am weak, but Thou art mighty // hold me with thy powerful hand," a thought that ...

Brandon Lake - Praise You Anywhere (CCM)

'Praise You Anywhere' by Brandon Lake is a powerful anthem that encourages us to turn to praise in every season of life. No matter the circumstances we face, choosing to praise God will shift our perspective and ignite faith within us. The lyrics of the song remind us that in the midst of darkness, fire, and challenges, we can dance, sing, and praise God. We are called to worship even when it doesn't make sense and to boldly face the giants that stand before us. The song emphasizes the power of praising God in the highest, acknowledging His worthiness of all our praise. Brandon Lake's heartfelt message resonates with the reality that there are times when we find ourselves in prisons and battles. However, even in those moments, we can cry out to heaven, stand firm, and worship with our hands held high. The song encourages us to trust that God will bring us through, and in response, we will praise Him anywhere. The bridge of the song beautifully highlights God's faith...

'Whatever It Takes – Acoustic' by Stephen Stanley: Embracing Divine Grace Amid Trial

Stephen Stanley vividly portrays the profound journey of faith in his moving acoustic rendition of the song 'Whatever It Takes'. His sincerity echoes the difficulties of completely surrendering one's heart to God despite being burdened by past mistakes and self-doubt. However, as we all know, the journey to the divine, while difficult, ultimately changes everything. 'Whatever it Takes,' a testament to Stanley's commitment, is a vocal affirmation to live continuously for God. The lyrics touch listeners' hearts as he admits, 'I've been reckless with my heart / Now I'm falling apart'; a message that many can relate to. This bold declaration is followed by a powerful surrender: 'I don't wanna be the same / I need You to be the change / I surrender all I am.' Stanley's song reaches out to everyone who has struggled with their shortcomings and leads them to the comforting presence of God. Self-doubt and the fear of falling may plagu...
