God walks with you through every valley.  Some seasons feel as if you’re walking through fog with no end in sight. Colonial Heights Worship wrote “The Valley Song” for that kind of season, the one marked by heaviness, heartache, and questions with no easy answers. What do you do when the valley stretches longer than you expected?  The song opens with a picture of the rest that is ahead: “O to rest beside the stillest waters, as my Shepherd watches over me.” That image doesn’t erase our valleys; it reframes them. The lyrics admit that darkness comes and shadows surround us, but they also remind us that “You are faithful, You never leave my side.” That’s the tension every believer knows. The pain is real. Falling in Love With the God Who Never Leaves  Somebody told you about a love you never knew existed. That’s how this song starts, and that’s how Grace usually starts — as a rumor before it becomes real. Thoughts and Notions made this anniversary edition of “My Love Song” about that exact moment: the moment you realize that Someone has been loving you the whole time, long before you noticed. “Somebody told me about you,” the song opens, “how you love us with such amazing grace.” Grace doesn’t wait for you to earn it. Grace is stronger than the grudge  “Forgiving You For Me” by Lauren Gruwell is a song written by Pat Melfi, and it’s the fourth release for Lauren’s upcoming album. The theme of the song touches a truth many people seem to want to avoid or just don’t realize. Forgiveness isn’t about the other person at all.
