JVS - I'm Glad You Came (CHH)

JVS - I'm Glad You Came
JVS has released a Christian Hip Hop (CHH) track called I'm Glad You Came.

JVS shares: "God placed this inspirational song in my heart when I felt like giving up on my dreams as a musician because I didn’t think I was good enough and because I wasn’t getting the recognition I deserved but it’s not about how many times I fall but how many times I get back up and keep fighting and pushing to achieve my dreams. God’s timing is the best. This is an uplifting song and a reminder to all that brings joy and happiness to a person's life, full of encouragement to keep on working hard and having faith regardless of the situation a person might find themselves in, there is always light in a dark tunnel, straight positivity and good vibes are what my version of the song brings. A song full of honest and real-life truth, relatable to all, a song of reflection, and a song that will put a smile on your face and make you dance regardless of your mood. Yes, we may go through trials and tribulations but it’s not the end of the world, it’s not over till Jesus says so. I have to keep on grinding, inspiring others to also fight for their dreams because it’s going to be worth it, and we going to look back on these tough days and be proud that we kept on going even when things seemed impossible! We are all tired, I know, I am too but we must keep on striving and succeeding because if we don’t who will…?"

Lyrics:

Chorus Intro:
The sun goes down, the stars come out
And all that counts is here and now
My universe will never be the same
I'm glad you came
Bridge:
Don’t be ashamed, be inspired
I know we all feel tired
A good life is acquired
(Pause) And we need to get what’s desired

Deep down you’re a fighter (fighter)
Be one to admire (admire)
Make it through all the fire (fire)
So raise a hand, raise a lighter
Chorus:
The sun goes down, the stars come out
And all that counts is here and now
My universe will never be the same
I'm glad you came

Verse 1:
YO, JVS
Your mistakes don’t define you
Bit of give and take is what I might do

I know we’ve all been lied to
But I’m tryna evolve like Raichu
Now the past has gone but I see no doubt
And my heart got lost but I’m focused now
I don’t need no PLANE when my heads in the clouds
And they CALL my name when the kings been crowned
I dunno what I’d do,
if it was not for this
On the righteous path and the God forgives
In a world full of fakes and counterfeits
I’m just tryna be high where the mountain is
Be content with what you have
Life’s not about riches (nah)
Money, fame and alcohol
Is a slippy slope to the ditches

Bridge:
Don’t be ashamed, be inspired
I know we all feel tired
A good life is acquired
(Pause) And we need to get what’s desired

Deep down you’re a fighter (fighter)
Be one to admire (admire)
Make it through all the fire (fire)
So raise a hand, raise a lighter (woosh)
Verse 2:
I’m grateful for the life I have
Felt like when christ came back
I was knocked down, I’m fighting back
Like a right hook from a Tyson jab
I’m leaning, dreaming (uh)
Never stopped believing (no way)
Head down I’ve been scheming

Now I grind, day ’til evening
When the stars come out
And the rain pours down
Ima run this town (dundee)
’til I feel burnt out
Like Messi when he scores
Coming for the top the balon ‘dor
I don't need Christian or Dior (no cap)
Just christ and now my lord (AH)

Bridge:
Don’t be ashamed, be inspired
I know we all feel tired
A good life is acquired
(Pause) And we need to get what’s desired

Deep down you’re a fighter (fighter)
Be one to admire (admire)
Make it through all the fire (fire)
So raise a hand, raise a lighter
Chorus:
The sun goes down, the stars come out
And all that counts is here and now
My universe will never be the same
I'm glad you came
Outro:
I’m glad you came X3

'Lonely Dirt Road' by Dax: A Journey to Solitude and God

Dax's 'Lonely Dirt Road' is a conversation that Dax has with himself and God. Dax shares his journey of turning mental health walks into healing solitary drives. As you listen, you can almost feel the cruise, where it's just you, your thoughts, and God.  The chorus is so relatable: 'When I need space, that's where I go, a place to escape that nobody knows.' What do you do when life's pressures stack high? Do you also have a space where you can let go? That lonely dirt road that Dax sings about symbolizes solitude, but it is also an incredible opportunity for connecting with God.  Dax's honesty is raw and relatable. 'I didn't want my family to see me cry… dealing with the pressure of trying to provide.' There are times when we all put on a smile to hide how challenging situations may be. Like his father, Dax says that he finds peace on this lonely road, where challenges become opportunities to grow. This shows the core of our faith: that...

"You Came And Found Me" by Recovered Crown: A Journey from Pain to Purpose

"You Came And Found Me" by Recovered Crown is about the healing God brought after having been trapped in a cycle of deeply hurtful relationships for years and the strength she found to truly step into her calling. She experienced harmful relationships as a child and as an adult, and reached a point where she was completely exhausted. "I didn't know how much of myself I had lost trying to survive," she shares. "But even in the darkest moments, God never stopped pursuing me."   The song reflects the change God brought into her life: "In a desperate state, in a broken place // You came and found me." It's not only a song for anyone who has been in similar situations but also for anyone who feels abandoned or even voiceless. There is always hope, "You're all that I need and so much more." It's God who truly heals, and He is always within your reach, no matter how bad the situation looks: "Hallelujah, I am restored in...

"None Like You" by Salt: Surrendering to the Pursuit of His Love

"None Like You" by Salt is a powerful song about the wonder and holiness of God, written by the Southern California duo Brian Albright and Kadi Zabka. The song has a powerful melody, honest lyrics, and encourages us to pause regularly to worship Him, and focus on His presence.  It's so easy to get distracted by the chaos of life, a chaos that can shout louder than our longing for His presence and distract us from realizing that His love and grace for us is unique. Step away from those distractions and realize that nothing else compares to what He gives us. "I won't go searching any longer // All that I need is what you're offering me." Salt describes His love as "a kind of love that's like no other,"  and it's a kind of love that cannot be found in 'the world'. Sadly, it's not just the chaos of the world around us that distracts, we also experience chaos in our lives, felt in our heart and mind, and it distracts us from rea...
