Rhys Warden - Like A River (CCM)


Rhys Warden's song 'Like A River' is a prayer for peace and a reminder of our identity as children of God. It is the second song on his EP titled 'Light & Momentary'. Rhys shares that the chorus is his personal prayer: 'Peace, flood my heart, flowing like a river through every part, and let it wash away any doubt that I was someone other than a child of God.'

The song was written during the 2020 lockdowns, a time of high stress and anxiety for everyone. Rhys found that this song helped him process these stressful times, and also a lot of what had been going on in his life during the past 10 years. He hopes that this song can bless others as it has blessed him.

Rhys Warden - Like A RiverThe lyrics speak of stepping out of darkness and into the light of God's love. Rhys asks for peace to flood all hearts and wash away any doubt about our identity as a child of God. The song speaks of the love of God that is patient, pure, and kind, and how there is no reason to hide from it.

'Like A River' is a beautiful song and Rhys' favorite song on the EP. He prays that the song encourages you to turn to God for peace and reminds you of your true identity as a child of God. The melody is soothing, and the lyrics are powerful, making this song a must-listen for those who need a reminder of God's love and peace.
