Embrace God's Presence with 'Holy Spirit Wind' by Lori Morris

Lori Morris is a landscape painter, Christian singer-songwriter, and loves to share her creativity. She released the song "Holy Spirit Wind," a song with an amazing backstory. "I've been writing songs on my own for about 15 years," Lori writes, "but in 2023, I prayed for God to connect me with other Christian songwriters. Just a few months later, He led me to my first Lake City Lights Retreat in Florida. … On one of the final days, I sat on the beach, connecting with God through His creation. I was enjoying His presence and the waves rolling in, and I prayed, "As the waves are rolling in, the strength You give me never ends." That line became the foundation of the song I co-wrote."

Lori Morris - Holy Spirit WindYou'll see this line appear in the chorus, a chorus that captures the essence of God's endless strength and presence: "As the waves are rolling in, The strength You give me never ends, Come and breathe on me again, Holy Spirit wind." The verses are about the "friendship" that we find in the Holy Spirit, who offers hope and healing amid all of the challenges we face in life.

The bridge elaborates on this theme, emphasizing how God's life-changing grace is at work in our lives: "You fill me, restore, Your will is transforming, You're working within me."

May "Holy Spirit Wind" also become your reminder that God's presence and strength are as constant and renewing as the waves. He is there for you, waiting for you to invite Him to be part of your life.

'Lonely Dirt Road' by Dax: A Journey to Solitude and God

Dax's 'Lonely Dirt Road' is a conversation that Dax has with himself and God. Dax shares his journey of turning mental health walks into healing solitary drives. As you listen, you can almost feel the cruise, where it's just you, your thoughts, and God.  The chorus is so relatable: 'When I need space, that's where I go, a place to escape that nobody knows.' What do you do when life's pressures stack high? Do you also have a space where you can let go? That lonely dirt road that Dax sings about symbolizes solitude, but it is also an incredible opportunity for connecting with God.  Dax's honesty is raw and relatable. 'I didn't want my family to see me cry… dealing with the pressure of trying to provide.' There are times when we all put on a smile to hide how challenging situations may be. Like his father, Dax says that he finds peace on this lonely road, where challenges become opportunities to grow. This shows the core of our faith: that...

Brandon Lake - Praise You Anywhere (CCM)

'Praise You Anywhere' by Brandon Lake is a powerful anthem that encourages us to turn to praise in every season of life. No matter the circumstances we face, choosing to praise God will shift our perspective and ignite faith within us. The lyrics of the song remind us that in the midst of darkness, fire, and challenges, we can dance, sing, and praise God. We are called to worship even when it doesn't make sense and to boldly face the giants that stand before us. The song emphasizes the power of praising God in the highest, acknowledging His worthiness of all our praise. Brandon Lake's heartfelt message resonates with the reality that there are times when we find ourselves in prisons and battles. However, even in those moments, we can cry out to heaven, stand firm, and worship with our hands held high. The song encourages us to trust that God will bring us through, and in response, we will praise Him anywhere. The bridge of the song beautifully highlights God's faith...

"The Christ" by NewSpring Worship: Answering the Call to Confess

NewSpring Worship's new release, called "The Christ", invites us to answer Jesus' timeless question: "Who do you say that I am?" The song takes us to the scene of Mark 8:29, where Jesus and His disciples were on their way to Caesarea Philippi, and He asked His disciples: "Who do men say that I am?" After the disciples answered, Jesus turned the question around and made it personal… He asked them: "But what about you? Who do you say I am?' Peter answered, 'You are the Messiah.'" Tom, one of the members of NewSpring Worship shared: "… we want that to be a confession of every individual in our church and outside of our church. And we want that to be a confession of everybody." That's the heart of the song. Ask yourself, if you had been there together with the other disciples on that road with Jesus, what would your answer be to His question, "Who do you say that I am?" With this song, you have the oppor...
