Whispering HOPE's album "whispering HOPE 6": Songs of faith, healing, and spiritual intimacy

whispering HOPE - whispering HOPE 6The album "whispering HOPE 6" by whispering HOPE is filled with songs of faith, healing, and spiritual intimacy. Created by lyricist and producer Gresha Schuilling and mastering engineer Shimron Fernando, this 8-track album feels like a conversation with God. Inspired by the teachings of Prophet Jerome Fernando, Gresha and Shimron have once again put their souls into this album, hoping to lead you into the presence of God through each of the songs.

Let's briefly look at each of the 8 songs on this album:

1. Power to Cast Out

This track is a powerful reminder that we already have the authority in Christ to cast out spiritual darkness. It is through His authority that we will find strength, victory, and freedom from fear. The song is a beautiful declaration of faith that emphasizes God’s continual presence and protection. It also encourages us to walk in the strength of the Holy Spirit.

Relevant scriptures: Luke 10:19, Matthew 17:18, Mark 16:17

2. Under His Shadow

Even though life’s storms may be raging, God offers you a safe haven. His love surrounds you and keeps you safe from harm. By trusting in His strength, you can face any storm with confidence and be victorious in His grace. If you haven't already, accept this song as an invitation to experience His divine care and reassurance in all parts of your life.

Relevant scriptures: Psalm 91:1-4, Isaiah 25:4, Matthew 23:37

3. Angels Among Us

Unseen yet ever-present, angels play a crucial role in God’s plan. This track reminds us that we're never truly alone—angels surround us, guiding and protecting as God's messengers.

Relevant scriptures: Hebrews 13:2, Psalm 91:11-12, Matthew 18:10

4. Led by the Spirit

Have you ever wondered what it really means to be guided by the Holy Spirit? This song may help to to better answer that question. The lyrics encourage what you can call a "surrendered walk" with God, where you surrender to Him, embrace spiritual growth, and allow the Spirit to align your steps with His.

Relevant scriptures: Romans 8:14, Galatians 5:16-25, John 14:26

5. Dew of Heaven

This song compares God’s blessings with morning dew, refreshing and silent. "Dew of Heaven" is about those quiet, often unnoticed blessings that renew our spirits, much like the gentle touch of the early morning dew.

Relevant scriptures: Genesis 27:28, Exodus 16:13, Psalm 133:3

6. The Rest of God

True rest is found in God. This song is an invitation to pause, breathe, and find peace in Him. In a world that is always going to be a place of rushing and chaos, this song is a call to embrace God’s peaceful presence.

Relevant scriptures: Genesis 2:2-3, Hebrews 4:9-10, Matthew 11:28

7. Seven Postures of Prayer

There is no one-size-fits-all type of prayer! This track explores different types of prayer, learning from examples found in the Bible, e.g., Jesus, Elijah, and Paul. The song shows that the key to prayer is all about finding ways to connect with God.

Relevant scriptures: Matthew 26:36-39, 1 Kings 18:41-42, Ephesians 1:3, Exodus 17:8-14

8. Failure’s Not the End

We all stumble, but that doesn't mean that God will leave us when we fail. God restores and strengthens, and He’s always ready to lift us up and guide us forward. He uses our setbacks as set-ups for a comeback. This song emphasizes the grace and hope that we'll find in God’s redemptive plan.

Relevant scriptures: Isaiah 42:4, Joshua 1:7, Matthew 12:20

Just like we've seen in the previous albums, "whispering HOPE 6" is a beautiful collection of relatable songs that bring you closer to God’s heart. "whispering HOPE 6" is available for streaming from January 24th onward. May these songs guide you into His healing and loving embrace.

"Man I Used To Be" by Dax: Half the Weight, Double the Faith

"Man I Used To Be" by Dax is a very personal song. Dax had promised himself that he wouldn't release new music until he'd stayed sober for six months, the time he needed to get his priorities straight and clear his mind. "Man I Used To Be" is the sound of his first clean breath, life with God by his side. Dax lays it bare: "Trials and tribulations, all my past trauma," he acknowledges, along with "generational curses from daddy and mama," and the "addictions that clouded my eyes." The honesty about his past struggles makes the message of this song so relatable and powerful.  The chorus is about the moment that the script was flipped, "I'm half the man I used to be." Not a broken man, but a man who has been freed from the burdens that weren't his to carry and kept him from God. "I don't ever chase, I got God," declaring that his new identity is anchored in faith. It's a shrug and a testimo...

"Hiding Place (Live)" by DBU Chapel Worship: Forgiven, Covered, and Free

How often do you hear worship songs being sung live in the comforts of your day-to-day living? For sure, there are a dime a dozen. Some you commonly share with the person next to you, featuring songs by popular Christian Artists. But there's a certain form of unique sincerity when one discovers a worship song that is yet to break through to a larger audience. This is how the song "Hiding Place" by DBU Chapel Worship featuring Olivia-Grace McKern felt like when I first listened to the song. It felt like a new testimony being told, of one's dedication to find God and remain in his presence.  Taking root from Psalm 32, the song is a collaboration of Olivia with a host of songwriters from the DBU Chapel Worship. Enriching her experience as a songwriter and moving her through the songwriting process. In perhaps a reflection of what the song eventually became, it wasn't so that Olivia conveniently hid behind the DBU Chapel Worship songwriters/musicians. This song is a c...
