Blessed by Yair Levi: Living Out Genesis 12:3 in Worship


"Blessed (Live)" by Yair Levi - Fresh from the "LIVE FROM THE NETHERLANDS EP". This song reflects one of the beautiful worship moments during Yair Levi's recent tour in the Netherlands. Yair shares that this song started with a shared prayer that was inspired by Genesis 12:3: "I will bless those who bless you." This song celebrates God's unchanging faithfulness and His covenant with Israel (Biblical).

You can feel the awe as Yair sings, "Not one promise that He's ever spoken has failed." The chorus echoes Genesis 12:3, reminding us that God has promised to bless nations through His chosen people: "Through you all the people of this world will be blessed." 

Lines like "In His mercy He lovingly guides them // And scatters the darkness with light" remind us of His kindness and provision, it's not something that only applies to the chosen in the past, but also applies to the present… It also applies to you and me. "Blessed" is a song that declares faith, and just as important, it also declares unity. Genesis 12:3 doesn't say that through His chosen people He will only bless a few. It says: "Through you all the people of this world will be blessed." God unites, in God we are equal!
