"Happy Day - Live" by HOMECOMING: Turn it up and taste new life

If you're looking for a reason to smile from ear to ear today, then this live version of "Happy Day" by HOMECOMING is it! The song was recorded live at the YG Conference 2024. It is an upbeat, infectious remake of a classic hymn and blends the energy of Switchfoot and Hillsong UNITED together with HOMECOMING's signature worship style. The result? A musical celebration that'll have you tapping your feet and lifting your hands in no time.

HOMECOMING - Happy Day - LiveThe message is clear: Christ rose, death lost, grace cleans, and hearts wake up brand‑new. This isn't history, Christ's resurrection is just as life-changing today as it was over 2000 years ago. Lyrics like "Death is beaten, You have rescued me" and "You washed my sin away" shout out the triumph over despair.

The chorus, "Oh happy day, happy day // I'll never be the same," drives home the thrilling awareness that our guilt has been lifted and identity remade; not just for a moment… this is a lifetime reset! New life and eternal hope are here, now. You can hear the crowd catch it, the joy rising, hope anchoring, and celebration building up.

What I love about this song is the message and intent, the testimony that resurrection isn't something abstract. Resurrection touches shame, rewrites stories, and opens the door to God. When our focus is on the Savior, His work, and His name, everything else fades.

May this song turn your car, kitchen, or room into a personal sanctuary. Turn up the volume, sing along, and remember His gifts for you. "Jesus is alive," and that's worth shouting about.

(Related scripture: Matthew 28:5–6; Romans 6:4; 2 Corinthians 5:17)

"Hiding Place (Live)" by DBU Chapel Worship: Forgiven, Covered, and Free

How often do you hear worship songs being sung live in the comforts of your day-to-day living? For sure, there are a dime a dozen. Some you commonly share with the person next to you, featuring songs by popular Christian Artists. But there's a certain form of unique sincerity when one discovers a worship song that is yet to break through to a larger audience. This is how the song "Hiding Place" by DBU Chapel Worship featuring Olivia-Grace McKern felt like when I first listened to the song. It felt like a new testimony being told, of one's dedication to find God and remain in his presence.  Taking root from Psalm 32, the song is a collaboration of Olivia with a host of songwriters from the DBU Chapel Worship. Enriching her experience as a songwriter and moving her through the songwriting process. In perhaps a reflection of what the song eventually became, it wasn't so that Olivia conveniently hid behind the DBU Chapel Worship songwriters/musicians. This song is a c...

'Lonely Dirt Road' by Dax: A Journey to Solitude and God

Dax's 'Lonely Dirt Road' is a conversation that Dax has with himself and God. Dax shares his journey of turning mental health walks into healing solitary drives. As you listen, you can almost feel the cruise, where it's just you, your thoughts, and God.  The chorus is so relatable: 'When I need space, that's where I go, a place to escape that nobody knows.' What do you do when life's pressures stack high? Do you also have a space where you can let go? That lonely dirt road that Dax sings about symbolizes solitude, but it is also an incredible opportunity for connecting with God.  Dax's honesty is raw and relatable. 'I didn't want my family to see me cry… dealing with the pressure of trying to provide.' There are times when we all put on a smile to hide how challenging situations may be. Like his father, Dax says that he finds peace on this lonely road, where challenges become opportunities to grow. This shows the core of our faith: that...
