Grace found you. Now, what will you do with it?
A man watches his wife kneel at the altar, arms open, hands lifted. She grew up practicing Buddhism in Thailand. She’s carried more struggle than most people will ever see. And on her birthday last July, she surrendered it all to Jesus. The next day, her husband picked up his bass and wrote this song. He calls it more than music. He calls it a commitment.
That’s where “Make The Price He Paid Worth The Cost” by Verity Reign comes from. “I am one of His sheep who is no longer lost.” Simple words. Heavy truth. Christ didn’t save us because we earned it. He saved us because He wanted to. “He found me worthy and was willing to save this imperfect person with the life that He gave.” He gave His life willingly. He gave His life for you.
So, what do you do with that? Here is what Romans 12:1 says about it: “I appeal to you therefore, brothers, by the mercies of God, to present your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and acceptable to God, which is your spiritual worship.” The apostle Paul isn’t talking about a one-time altar moment. This is about a daily offering. Your morning attitude. Your patience with your children tonight. Your willingness to speak up when it’s easier to stay quiet.
You didn’t earn the cross, and you can’t repay it either. But you can live like the price He paid on the cross matters. Tell someone what changed in you. Let your life preach by example when your words run out.
Give this song a listen and let it remind you why the cross matters. “Gonna make the price He paid worth the cost.”

Background:
I come from a family of musicians. My mom, dad, sister and I played in a music show very similar to the family shows you see in Branson, MO. I started playing and singing background vocals on stage when I was 12 years old. I learned to play bass guitar by turning on the radio and trying to copy what I heard. The first song I learned to play was Elvira by the Oak Ridge Boys. My favorite shows that we did were always the gospel shows.
In 2022, I remarried a woman I love with my whole heart. She is from Thailand and practiced Buddhism. She has faced numerous trials and struggles in her life. On her birthday, in July of last year, she was baptized and accepted Jesus into her heart. I play bass at our church. I was playing one Sunday morning and watched her come to the altar. She knelt with her hands lifted and arms open, completely surrendering herself to our Savior. The next day, I wrote a song about this experience that I will release soon.
I love playing, singing, and now writing. I didn't really write much until recently when things happened in my life that brought me closer than ever to God. Now it seems like words sometimes come faster than I can write them down. Writing is my way for me to share my testimony.
This song is more than just a song to me. It's a commitment to how I want to live my life.
God has been so faithful to me, and when I think about what Jesus did on the cross, I want my response to be living for Him and letting as many people as I can know. I could never repay Him for what He has done. Salvation is a free gift. I want my life to reflect my gratitude by living for Him and making His name known.
Writing this song became my personal declaration that I want to spend my life sharing the gospel through the gifts God has given me. My prayer is that every song I write points people to Jesus, not to me.
If someone hears this song and is encouraged to follow Christ more closely, or if someone who has never known Him hears the gospel for the first time, then this song has accomplished its purpose.
My hope is that this song reminds people that our lives are meant to glorify God. We have been given an incredible gift through Jesus, and I want to spend my life sharing that hope with the world.
I will do my best to live a life that honors the incredible price He paid to redeem me. I pray others will be led to do the same when they hear this song.
