"Let It Rise - Live" by Hope Worship: When Surrender Becomes Worship

What if surrender opened the door to change?

Some songs ask nothing of you. “Let It Rise — Live” asks everything. Hope Worship wrote this song as a simple invitation that is meant to feel welcoming rather than complicated: ask the Holy Spirit to have His way in you. No hidden agenda, no complex theology lesson. Just an open door for the Holy Spirit.

Hope Worship - Let It Rise - LiveHope Worship repeats a line that sounds a bit risky: “Break my heart open.” Why would anyone ask for that? Because a closed heart can’t hold much of anything new. The song builds from that vulnerable request into a rising cry: “Let it rise like incense.” Picture the smoke curling upward, unhurried, unstoppable. That’s what surrendered worship looks like.

Keep that picture of incense in mind as you read Psalm 141:2, “Let my prayer be counted as incense before you, and the lifting up of my hands as the evening sacrifice.” David was offering something real, something costly, and trusting that God would receive it.

Your daily life rarely feels like incense. It feels like traffic, deadlines, dishes. So how can you turn ordinary everyday moments into an offering? By inviting God to have His way in your life. This means that you also stop trying to manage everything alone, and let your plans bend toward: “Your kingdom come, your will be done.” A prayer that changes how you walk into a hard conversation, a stressful meeting, a quiet morning.

Faith doesn’t arise on its own. You create space for it. In your prayers today, ask for a broken-open heart and watch what fills the gap.

Turn this song on. Sing along: “Come and have your way // Come and fill this place // Your kingdom come // Your will be done.” Pray it. Mean it. “Let it rise like incense.”

(Related scripture: Psalm 141:2; Matthew 6:10; Ezekiel 36:26)

LYRICS: Some may say it’s hopeless They must have never met my God  Some may say it’s over But it was finished on the cross Some may say it’s broken But the Healer’s in the room  Some may say it’s hopeless But I know    God’s about to move...   There’s a miracle in the works I can feel it There’s revival in the church I believe it   Some may see an ocean But He’s made a highway through Some may see a mountain  But we’ve seen a mountain move Some may see a graveyard But we’ve seen His empty tomb Some may see a battle But I know   Reignite us, reawaken Breath of God, come breathe again Like the dry bones started shaking All that died will live again  Oh the miracle You’re making The beginning not the end Eternity is waiting  To see Your church alive again   You are my miracle Jesus You are my miracle   #BryanandKatieTorw...

After experiencing a major setback in both his spiritual and business life, Alexander found himself feeling discouraged and hopeless. He even took a break from music for a while.
