Winners Announced During Live 2-Hour 9th Annual We Love Christian Music Awards Ceremony #newreleasetoday

MEMPHIS, TN The 9th Annual We Love Christian Music Awards culminated in a live ceremony this past Tuesday night, hosted by recording artist, Rhett Walker, and held at Visible Music College in Memphis, TN. The entire show is available for on-demand viewing here or by individual segments. Winners were announced in all 24 categories, selected by 20,000 fan votes that were collected over eight weeks throughout December and January 2021. "Man I Used To Be" by Dax is a very personal song. Dax had promised himself that he wouldn't release new music until he'd stayed sober for six months, the time he needed to get his priorities straight and clear his mind. This is a rock song that speaks about waiting and being prepared for the right moment to be called by Jesus. It comes from a place where the miracle and the sudden arrival of God in our lives are always unpredictable. But when we are ready, God will find us. The lyricism of the song is written in such a way that there are double meanings and vague messages. I understand the artistic decision to write this in such a manner.
