'Where Breakthrough Starts' by Maria Segerholm and Ed Marl: Finding Hope in Harmony


Maria Segerholm and Ed Marl bring a song that came to Maria during a dream last May. The song is called 'Where Breakthrough Starts.' Maria recalls that she could only remember parts of the melody when she woke up, and that she was singing the song as a duet with a man. She quickly got up and recorded a voice memo of what she remembered and was able to finish the song a couple days later.

'Down on my knees, and I can't find the words, I know You know my concerns,' He is already attuned to every silent prayer and unshed tear. 

'Here in Your presence, is where breakthrough starts,' reminding us where true change starts, that God has the power to create 'rivers in deserts' (Isaiah 43:19), and bring peace through even a gentle breeze (1 Kings 19:12). Our God delivers us from fear (Psalm 34:4). 

We often ask God for breakthrough, and Maria felt that God was giving her the powerful realization that a breakthrough starts in His presence, at His feet. He was working then, He is working now, and He'll do it again (Joshua 23:8). That is a promise that you can count on! 

When God is part of your life, you won't be travelling through your valleys alone! It is at His feet that breakthrough starts. So, go ahead and turn up the volume, close your eyes, and let 'Where Breakthrough Starts' ignite a fire of faith in your heart. May this song encourage and guide you on your journey to Him, where He will bless you with a breakthrough that brings eternal joy and peace.

"Digging Ditches" Brandon Drit: Preparing for Water You Can’t See

Obedience comes first. The rain comes later. Brandon Drit knows what dry seasons can feel like. His song, “Digging Ditches”, opens on a desert road, with strength fading and a question that probably sounds a lot like yours: “How much longer will this last?” The message of the song grew out of 2 Kings 3:16, and it also marks his first professionally edited and mastered release, a ditch of its own, dug in faith. "My Love of Christmas (Peace Starts in Me)" by Avery Stafford: One Heart at Peace Can Change the Room

Peace begins in a willing heart. When did you last open your own time capsule? Avery Stafford found a time capsule somewhere in his mind and opens it in his song “My Love of Christmas (Peace Starts in Me)”. His time capsule contained a Folgers can filled with buttons and thread, a crystal globe, a denim patch, and the scent of Avon cologne. Seemingly ordinary treasures, but each one carries a Christmas that he’s never stopped loving. Avery blends gospel warmth with soulful pop to speak to the child in all of us, the child who still believes that Love leads the way.
