Emmy Rod's 'Trust in God': Finding Faith in Uncertain Times

He is always there and is your refuge (if you let Him be part of your life). 

'At the Cross' takes you to the heart of Jesus' sacrifice, encouraging you to take time to reflect on His unconditional love and grace. He already paid the price for you… all you need to do is accept. 

The song 'In Moments of Despair' acknowledges that we all have our struggles, it's part of life! The key is what you do during these moments of despair! Do you go to God for support? This song points to the true source of hope, and assures you that you're never alone… because He is by your side. 

'My Anchor' is like a warm hug, again emphasizing that God is always within your reach. It's a comforting reminder that God anchors us with His peace, no matter what we're facing in life. 

The track 'Renew My Heart' is a prayer for spiritual refreshment. Emmy's plea for renewal is something we all need in our busy lives, and it reminds us to look for God's transformative love. 

'His Beacon' is about God's guiding light, a light that we shouldn't be hiding under a bushel. Emmy reminds us that the world badly needs His light, and encourages you to reflect His light for others. 

The song 'Heal Our World', so relevant in today's broken world, calls us to play our part in uniting and healing the world, and ask God to give our world the healing that it needs. 

As you listen to each of these songs, it gently ignites a fire in your heart, helping you to shift from being an observer to being part of the solution. It all starts with placing your trust in God, and then taking His lead.

"Paper Lantern Heart" by MK Green: When God Lights a Fire You Can't Contain

What happens when God lights a fire in you?  Some fires refuse to stay hidden. MK Green wrote “Paper Lantern Heart” around that exact truth, inspired by Jeremiah 20:9, where the prophet admits that he tried to stop preaching but simply couldn’t. The Word burned inside him “like a fire shut up in my bones.” Green’s lyrics echo that same struggle: “Behind the bones inside my chest there burns a paper heart.” Cold turns to burning. "Stand By Me" by Daniel Aranda: Finding Steadiness in Life's Storms

Who’s standing with you in the storm? “Stand By Me” by Daniel Aranda is an amazing rendition of a hymn written by Charles Albert Tindley in 1905. Tindley was the son of a former slave, a man who knew what it meant to need help that wasn’t guaranteed. He didn’t write from comfort. He wrote from the middle of a fight, and that’s exactly why the song is still so relevant and cherished by many today. Daniel Aranda’s recording brings gospel legends Terry Blackwood and Charlie McCoy into that same lineage, carrying Tindley’s plea forward into a new generation.  The lyrics move through life’s troubles, one verse at a time. “When the storms of life are raging, stand by me”  — that’s not poetic exaggeration. Tindley’s first verse is about a ship tossed on open water, powerless against the waves.
