Celebrate Freedom: Coming Kingdom's song "Free Indeed"

Coming Kingdom released "Free Indeed," the fourth song from their upcoming debut EP called "Awakening". Written by Joel Lane and Zac Carpenter, the song began when Joel was a missionary in Hong Kong, where he was praying for someone coming off of a drug addiction / withdrawal and witnessed the change this person was going through. This experience turned into a song when he was back in the UK, a song that celebrates the life-changing freedom and joy that we all may find in Jesus.

Coming Kingdom - Free IndeedThe lyrics of "Free Indeed" remind us of Jesus' sacrifice on the cross. He laid down His life so that we would be free. Not only setting us free, but He also heals our brokenness and redeems us with His grace. "Free Indeed" calls us out of the darkness, back into light, and proclaims the eternal truth that "if the Son sets you free you will be free indeed". - John 8:36

The lines echo the breaking of chains, the overcoming of darkness, and the fullness of life in Christ. It's a celebration that is inviting you to join and receive true freedom from fear, shame, guilt, and sin - all in the name of Jesus. May this song inspire and lift you up, and encourage you to embrace the boundless freedom that we will only find in Him.

(Related scripture: John 8:36; Romans 6:22; Galatians 5:1)

Rhett Walker - Man on the Middle Cross (CCM)

Rhett Walker's CCM song, 'Man on the Middle Cross,' is a powerful reflection on the profound impact of God's grace and mercy. The song was inspired by a sermon by Alistair Begg, focusing on the two men crucified alongside Jesus, and the transformative power of Christ's sacrifice. The lyrics vividly describe the scene of three wooden crosses on a hill, with two sinners on either side of Jesus. The first verse expresses the realization that, at times, we all can relate to the sinners on the crosses—feeling guilty, regretful, and undeserving of God's love and forgiveness. The chorus beautifully captures the experience of both sinners, acknowledging that one has been on the left, filled with guilt and regret, while the other has been on the right, always seeking conflict and thinking forgiveness is beyond reach. The overwhelming theme throughout the song is the recognition of God's grace and mercy, which are not earned or deserved but freely given to all. The br...

(by Jasper Tan) “Stepp’n in Big Faith by Colyn Kristopher is a bouncy, uplifting, and smooth R&B CCM track that wears Colyn’s faith up his sleeves with a powerful declaration of trusting the Lord and persevering in our Faith. Ably produced by Sherwin Gardner, the song brings in a high-energy musical production with an empowering theme. Anchoring on the central message of the song that talks about unwavering faith, the song encourages us to move forward with “big faith” despite life’s many obstacles and challenges (0:13, 0:56). The song reminds us that we should overcome fear and puts an emphasis on leaving fear behind and instead embrace a life guided by God’s plan for us and find our purpose in life in accordance to God’s will (0:41, 0:43). It cannot be discounted that life often deals us with a bad hand, and we’d just have to roll with the punches. But being resilient amidst adversity helps us get through life’s diff...
