"Good Plans" by Tasha Layton: Trusting God's Plan For Us


"Good Plans (Live)" by Tasha Layton is a magnificent cover of Red Rocks Worship's original. It's a song that reassures us that God has a plan for our lives. Tasha's rendition of this song was recorded live in Franklin, TN, and is one of the tracks on her album "Worship Through It." The lyrics echo passages found in Psalm 23, passages that offer peace and encourage us to trust in God's guidance. Tasha shares, "I love that God has a plan for us even when we may not see it right in front of us. This song, originally by Red Rocks Worship, has been a constant reminder for me."

Tasha Layton - Good Plans (Live) (Red Rocks Worship Cover)I don't know about you, but I often need this reminder when I can't see the road ahead or start to question what's "the good" about some of the situations I face--"He has good plans for me, so I will take heart in deserts and gardens."

The lyrics encourage us to surrender to God's sovereignty: "The Lord is my shepherd, and He is everything I need… No weapon formed against me will prosper." It's a declaration of faith that may need repeating many times before we can truly trust His provision and protection, especially in those toughest moments that life can throw at us. I feel humbled as I hear Tasha sing, "Surely, Your goodness and mercy will follow after me," remembering His promise to us, that fear cannot thrive in His presence.

Tasha beautifully adds her signature to the warm embrace that the message of this song gives. In all of the excitement and all of the unknown that we are all facing across the world today, we may stand firm in the fact that we know our Father and trust that He has good plans for us.

"Fishers of Men" by Tyler Philip Ratcliffe: Dropping Your Nets and Following Without Looking Back

Jesus doesn’t call the qualified. He qualifies the called.  “Fishers of Men” by Tyler Philip Ratcliffe was written back in July of 2024. "Forever" by Randy Wade: The God Who Has Always Been

The King who reigns forever also reigns over you. Before a single star burned in the sky, before the first mountain rose from the earth, God was. Worship Pastor and Contemporary Christian songwriter Rev.
