"In Your Presence" by Sandra Lamb: Peace Found In A Sacred Space

Sandra Lamb released a beautiful song called "In Your Presence." The lyrics are about finding peace and joy in God's presence, and here comes the challenging part… no matter what happens. In this song, Sandra creates a beautiful atmosphere of worship and intimacy. She sings, "In Your presence I find peace // Through the stormy days // I feel Your warm embrace," repeating Isaiah 26:3. This is one of the most famous and most loved verses in all of Isaiah, and with good reason.

Sandra Lamb - In Your PresenceIsaiah says to those in the present (that's you and me) that "perfect peace" is possible here and now. The Lord provides this to those whose minds are focused on the Lord through trusting in Him. The song also reminds us that perfect peace is not a state without any anxiety at all, or one where life is always easy and perfect. Sandra sings about an internal peace, a feeling of confident contentment that is completely independent of circumstances. It is a mind that is focused on trusting the Lord to provide all that is needed in the present, the future, and for our salvation.

"In Your presence I find peace // Through the happy days // I feel Your joy in praise," highlighting that this peace and joy comes from having a relationship with Him. This is a relationship that we need to cling to: "When I think of Your love // And I think of Your grace // I'm holding on to You."

There is a beautiful pledge in this song, one that hopefully will also be yours to repeat: "Whenever You call // I will answer You // Speak to my heart // And I will hear Your voice." May the message of this song and the essence of Isaiah 26:3 help you to seek and cherish God's presence in every part of your daily life.

"Back to Life" by James Bizak: Power in the Name of Jesus With Pop Punk Sound

"Back to Life" by James Bizak is a raw, high-energy pop punk track with a bold Christian truth… Whenever we are feeling broken or lost, we will find hope and redemption in Jesus. The choice of this genre is intended to reach a wider audience, as well as more youth, right where they are—possibly feeling broken, abandoned, or even feeling dead inside.  The lyrics reflect a pain and emptiness that so many people are feeling: "I've been broken // Beaten down // My faith stolen." The song acknowledges our feelings of despair, and even more important, it points us to hope, "There's power in your blood // There's power in the name of Jesus." With lines like "When I was dead inside // You brought me back to life," the lyrics emphasize that redemption and restoration can only be found in Him.  James Bizak highlights that Jesus has ultimate authority over darkness, "You see me surrounded // The demons fall back. // … // A sea of never e...
