Emmanuel Songsore didn’t add words to this track — he didn’t need to. His piano cover of Elevation Worship’s “Jesus Be The Name” carries the full weight of the original without a single lyric. That’s the point… the name itself does the work. 

The lyrics of the original song declare it plainly: “Your name is like the morning light, the One the darkness can’t deny.” Darkness doesn’t argue with strategy or willpower. It retreats from a name. That name — Jesus — holds authority over everything that tries to dim your life. 

Think about what His name piles up: healing, freedom, salvation, the grave overwhelmed, the storm made still. This is just a fraction of what His name actually does. When we sing, “There is no other name”, that isn’t exclusion — it’s giving clarity. When every other option has run out, this one hasn’t. 

Philippians 2:9–11 puts it plainly: “God has highly exalted him and bestowed on him the name that is above every name, so that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow.” Every name/knee bows! That means fear bows, sickness bows, shame bows. Whatever is standing over you right now — it is not exempt — it will bow! 

Say His Name today, not as a formality, but as a declaration. Let His name be the first word you reach for before a problem gets a chance to settle in. The lyrics of the original song say it sweetly: “It’s sweeter every time that I call on it.” That sweetness grows with use. 

Go ahead and listen to Emmanuel Songsore’s instrumental rendition and let the melody carry what words sometimes can’t. “There’s salvation in Your name alone.”
