"I'm A Temple - Acoustic" by Overland Missions Music: No Cloud, No Ark — Just You

Overland Missions Music - I'm A Temple - Acoustic

Do you know you’re carrying something sacred?

Moses watched a cloud lead his people through the desert. David danced through the streets, undignified, as the ark of God rolled into town. Both scenes point to the same longing: to be near the presence of God. Overland Missions Music captures that longing on their acoustic album “The Prodigal” with a groovy, joy-filled track about a truth many believers forget. In the acoustic version of their song “I’m A Temple,” they sing, “Now the Spirit lives inside of me // And you can’t get him out.” There’s no cloud needed, and there’s no ark to chase after: “The clouds no more, ’cause the Holy Ghost lives in me.” The Holy Ghost also wants to live inside of you.

The apostle Paul told the Corinthian church something radical: “Do you not know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit within you, whom you have from God?” (1 Corinthians 6:19). Your body — not a building, not a mountain, not a sacred cloud — carries the presence of the living God.

What changes when you actually believe this? Everything in your life changes when holiness is no longer something that you visit and becomes something you carry within you. So, when you walk into your workplace tomorrow, remember: you bring the presence of God with you. When you face a difficult conversation, you don’t need to do it alone. The same Spirit that filled the tabernacle now fills you!

Stop waiting for a mountaintop experience. You already have access. Sing about it. Live like it’s true, because it is. “Praise the Lord, ’cause the Holy Ghost lives in me.”

(Related scripture: 1 Corinthians 6:19; 1 Corinthians 3:16; John 14:16-17)

"Your Love" by Kevin Winebarger - When Mercy Becomes Your Identity

Kevin Winebarger teamed up with Joshua Frerichs and Benji Cowart to create this beautiful song. "Your Love" tackles that discouraging voice we all hear from time to time, the one that whispers that we're not enough and that we are defined by our past. "Once a liar, always a liar," and all kinds of variations along this same line of thought. This song isn't about wallowing in shame. "Your Love" is a celebration of the grace that changes everything.  The opening lines hit hard: "I could believe that I'm not enough // It's clear to see I don't measure up." Yep, we've all been there! But this isn't how God want us to be defined… He loved us first! "It's just what You've done // Because of Your love." That's the heart of everything.  Kevin places the change the God brings into perspective, "I could believe that my mistakes // Will follow me down into the grave // But I'm not who I was....

"Is Anybody There? (Psalm 27)" by Stephen M. Miller: Holding On to Grace at Heaven’s Door

Stephen M. Miller's "Is Anybody There? (Psalm 27)" comes in the quiet aftermath of the Christmas celebrations, when reflection can feel like isolation. Stephen's song isn't about polishing away his mistakes, nor does it encourage you to do so with your mistakes. Stephen shares his painful experience, "I never saw it coming Lord // It felt right but it was wrong // Family and friends have left me // But I still have you and a song."   Stephen owns the fallout of his actions, taking accountability without despair. "I said it and I did it, Lord // Broke more hearts than I'll ever know // I can't fix this, though I've tried // Don't be angry, and please don't go." His song is a prayer for God's presence and guidance. "Hear me when I call you, Lord // Don't turn your face away // Don't give up on me like others have // Come help me through this day." Stephen describes a fear that we too experience when we ...

"No One Like You Jesus" by Morgan Starner: Why Only Jesus Can Carry Your Burdens

Who really deserves your loudest praise? “No One Like You Jesus” by Morgan Starner didn’t start in a studio. It started as a voice memo, hummed late at night, half-formed and unfinished. Morgan took that fragile melody into the studio and built it up, layer by layer, until it held over 100 stacked vocals. The result sounds like a celebration. Bright, rhythmic, and impossible to sit still while listening. That’s the point of this song… Gospel-pop with a modern pulse, made to move bodies and hearts at the same time.  Listen to the bridge, and you’ll hear a question underneath the beat: “Who else gonna take my burdens? Who else gonna get me through?” Morgan answers the question without hesitation. “No one else but You.”   Scripture asks the same question, thousands of years earlier. Here is how Moses responded after crossing the Red Sea: “Who is like you, O Lord, among the gods? Who is like you, majestic in holiness, awesome in glorious deeds, doing wonders?” (Exodus 15:11, ESV...
