"Nothing Without Him" by Remnant House: The Freedom of Admitting You Can't

It withers… quickly. 

That’s not a discouraging thought — it’s liberating! You can stop pretending that you have to hold everything together by sheer willpower, because you can’t. Stop performing strength that you don’t have. Instead, abide, stay connected with the Vine. Let His life flow through yours the way sap moves from the vine through a living branch, unforced and constant. 

Create a silent moment today and name one area where you’ve been striving instead of abiding. Then bring that to Him, and let His grace do what your efforts never could achieve. 

May this song remind you where your strength really comes from. Sing along until the truth reaches beyond your head and into your soul. As Remnant House sings: “I’d be nothing, nothing, nothing without Him.”

Built around the words of John 15:5 — “Apart from Me you can do nothing” — the song is a loud, joyful declaration of dependence on Christ. With driving guitars, gang vocals, and a chorus that feels ready for a room full of people, “Nothing Without Him” captures the energy of modern worship without losing the weight of the Scripture behind it.

The song does not dwell in weakness. It turns surrender into praise. “I’d be nothing if He didn’t save me from myself / If He didn’t pick me up out of the gates of hell” sets the tone early, before the chorus lands on the simple confession at the center of the song: “I’m nothing, nothing, nothing without Him.”
