"One True God" by Chase Skeleton: Worship That Refuses to Whisper


Reverence isn’t fear — it’s recognition.

Some songs whisper. “One True God” by Chase Skeleton shouts. “One True God” pulses with the kind of energy that belongs cranked up in a car, windows down, yet the words underneath are pure worship. The song names God as Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, three in one, and doesn’t let that truth stay quiet. “Almighty Father, righteous you reign” is a declaration, and declarations change how you see and walk through life.

Chase Skeleton - One True GodThe lyrics name what God is already doing: “giving every sinner chances to heal,” “changing hearts so they can learn to see,” giving “restless souls the peace to be still.” That’s real problems being solved.

Read what Colossians 1:17 says about Christ: “He is before all things, and in him all things hold together.” Everything you’re carrying today — the deadline, the diagnosis, the doubt — it holds together in Him, no matter how tight you grip it. Ask yourself, do you believe that, or are you just reciting it because others expect that you believe it? There’s a huge difference there!

If you’re still reciting, then try this: Name one thing today that feels unsteady. Now say out loud who’s actually holding it. That’s not a coping trick. It is letting truth do what truth does — it settles you.

The Spirit isn’t a bonus feature in this story. He’s called “the gift that seals my heart” — sealing meaning permanence, not a passing mood. Try to remember that the next time you feel far from steady.

Chase suggests that you turn up the volume on this one as you drive. Let it remind you who’s really writing the chapter that you’re in. “You’re the one true God.”
