What would it feel like to stop running from Love?
Chapels wrote “Lost In Your Love” to feel like being a kid again — dancing without overthinking it, caught up in something joyful, and remembering how simple it can be to just enjoy His presence. That’s a strange way to describe faith, isn’t it? Most people associate religion with a way of life that is heavy, full of rules and quiet rooms. But listen to the opening lines of this song: “There was a moment that you wrecked my life and kept my life from fallin’.” Something broke apart so that something better could hold it together. Chapels describes a heart that turned “from stone,” and a sudden ability to breathe. Ask yourself, what can change a person that fast?
The truth is that only one thing does. The Scriptures call it “being found.” The line “I once was lost but now I’m found” reminds us of a story that Jesus told about a father who ran to meet his returning son before the boy could even finish his apology (Luke 15:20). That father didn’t wait for perfect timing or a cleaned-up explanation. He ran!
Maybe you’re waiting to feel ready before you can approach God. Stop waiting! Romans 5:8 says, “God shows his love for us in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.” Not after you fixed yourself — God showed His love while you were still a mess. You might want to read that again.
Freedom isn’t something you achieve… It’s something you receive the moment you stop running so He can “find” you. The bridge of this song puts it plainly: “I was running from love, til you found me.” Maybe today’s the day that you too will stop running. Turn the music up, let the joy be uncomplicated, and permit yourself to enjoy His presence without analyzing it. “I wanna get lost in your love — that’s all I want.”
