Izanah Jones - A Reggae Heart (CCM)

Izanah Jones has released a Christian Contemporary Music (CCM) 12-track album called 'A Reggae Heart'. We are featuring song number 7 on this album, called 'God's Love'. Izanah has a remarkable ability to use staccato beats on measure upbeats to give her music a characteristic Jamaican reggae flavor. This song has a 'jumpy' feel to it, which makes the melody enjoyable to listen to. Contrary to how reggae is widely perceived, this song is a song of gratitude rather than the voice of the oppressed. 'This is my favorite song on the 12-track album,' says Izanah. 'I had a lot of fun writing and producing this song. It's so much to be grateful for. Even when you know so many things that can go bad in these times. You have to give thanks to God, because it's by His grace we get through each day. We're happy to be able to share the lyrics with you: Lyrics Read “God's Love” by Izanah Jones on Genius https://genius.com/Izanah-jones-

Jessie Allen Cooper - Standing On A Mountain (CCM)

Jessie Allen Cooper has released a Christian Contemporary Music (CCM) track called 'Standing On A Mountain'. I read the following quote by Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. on Jessies Facebook page, and it nicely introduces this song:  "We've got some difficult days ahead, but it doesn't matter now. Because I've been to the top of the mountain, and we as people will get there together."  Jessie shares: "I was fortunate to grow up in Western Washington.  During my youth, I was a boy scout. Fortunately, the troop I was in did lots of backpacking and overnight trips. In my early 30's, I moved to Santa Monica California, which had great hiking trails. While living there I hiked in Yosemite, Kings Canyon, and took several trips to Joshua Tree National Park. During many moments on these trips, there was a great joy and appreciation to be surrounded by such magnificence and a feeling of awe in Mother Earth's creations." He continues: "For days I

Jeremy Mage - Walk With Me (CCM)

Jeremy Mage has released a 9-song Christian Contemporary Music (CCM) album called 'Pretty Songs About Death'. In this blog post we are featuring the song 'Walk With Me' from his album. Jeremy writes: "By fate or chance, I frequently confronted death in various facets these last few years. I wrote songs to comfort dying loved ones, which we sang together in their final hours. I searched for a spiritual language that would resonate with a friend who was an avowed atheist at death’s door. And late at night, I wrote to come to grips with my own mortality and to wake to life in all it’s beauty and absurdity. Without meaning to, I discovered I’d written an album." The TL;DR version of the lyrics for 'Walk with me'  I set my burden down on the yielding ground and continue on with my empty hands. The wind brings evening clouds, howling that lonely sound, and I know that I'll find a friend in the shadow's dark. Will you accompany me until I find my way

Red Letter Society - Live at Village Church (CCM)

Red Letter Society has released a Christian Contemporary Music (CCM) album called 'Live at Village Church'. An album with the most favorite songs written and produced by Red Letter Society, in Virginia. The album has 7 uplifting tracks performed and recorded live at Village Church, such as:  Surrendered Hearts Thirst MOUNTAIN OCEAN 100x Matthew 5  Fill My Heart / Reprise  Each song is an earnest attempt, both lyrically and musically, to imagine meeting God face to face and experiencing the awesome power of His presence. You can listen to the songs individually, but if you have the time... it is well worth watching the entire live performance on the following YouTube video  ( https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HCd4RV-LHkE ) Personally, I like the video because it not only allows you to see the person behind each voice, but it also allows you to feel the vibe during the performance. I selected the song 'Thirst' as the sample song for this album. I trust that you will agree

J.Walker of TLD - The Rock (R&B/CHH)

J.Walker of TLD has released a Christian R&B Hip Hop track called 'The Rock'. The Rock' is a direct reference to Jesus. According to J.Walker, people often struggle more as we approach winter and the days become darker and colder. He says: 'I wanted to take the idea of Jesus as the rock and give it a summer beach vibe and feel. I want you to feel the waves splashing across the rocks and know that everything is fine.' The song is about our relationship with God and our faith in Him. The chorus cites reaching out to God, knowing that if you were drowning or in danger, He will indeed grab your hand. It challenges people's doubts about whether God will be there for them in their darkest moments. There are some repeated mantras that run throughout the track, such as 'You know you got the truth' and 'You know you got the proof.' These serve as reminders that faith in God is superior to faith in oneself. Lyrics Read “The Rock” by J.Walker of TLD

Melissa Lischer collaborated with international award-winning songwriters Tamara Olorga and Ricardo Bettiol on her new song "Seashell." The sound was fine-tuned with producer Benjamin Alasu, and a wonderfully chilling folk-pop song was created, where not only the lyrics touch you. Canyons - Oh, How I Trust You (Album) (CCM)

Canyons have released a Christian Contemporary Music (CCM) album called 'Oh, How I trust You'. 'Distant' and 'River' are two characteristic songs from the album. An album filled with prayers and moments that many will be able to relate to... Moments and situations when we think that we may not deserve Him by our side, and then realize that He is always there. 'Distant' is an attempt to recall the confusion between overwhelming grief and the precious comforts that meet us in the midst of it. Knowing, as if it were a punch in the chest, that He is always there and you really can not miss it. Knowing that you don't need to ask because He is not far away. He is there by your side when you cry out, sing to the sky, and bring on the drama. What greater comfort can He give us than knowing that all we have to do is lift our eyes to Him and pray? Have total faith in Him and know that He is a magnificent God! No matter how hopeless or desperate your situa
