"My Light" by SophiaEki: When the Storm Hits, His Light Shows The Way


Life can be hard at times. Storms come without warning, heavy clouds blocking your view, or sometimes the road ahead goes completely dark. SophiaEki's "My Light" is especially for those moments when you're feeling overwhelmed or drifting alone. The comfort offered in this song is rooted in faith and reminds us of the promises that He has made.

What makes the message in this song so precious is its honesty. SophiaEki doesn't pretend you'll always find your footing. She sings multiple times: "Even when I miss my way." These words aren't a sign of defeat, but a pure surrender to Him. You can lose your direction time and time again, even miss the fact that He was reaching out to you, and He'll continue to reach out until you let Him in. That's the heart of the song. 

So, it shouldn't come as a surprise that SophiaEki sings: "You're always there for us, Lord you're present every time we call." If you're thinking that this doesn't apply to you, then you're in for a surprise. His promises also apply to you! Ask around, SophiaEki isn't the only one who has experienced this. This is a shared testimony, and His light is there for you as well! 

Give "My Light" a listen, especially on those days when you need reminding that the storm doesn't get the final word. "Even when I miss my way, oh Jesus, You are the light through the storm."

Jesus knew everything, and He came anyway! Let’s go back to the birth of Jesus, a newborn lying in the manger, part of a larger plan and fully aware of where His path would end before He came to earth.
