Hudson Bezotte’s “Lifeline” opens with a confession, one you may also recognize. “I feel like I’ve been here a while.” He was met by Jesus as a child, and He “walked with me for miles.” But life happens, and it can be tough to keep the fire going “in the winter.” Have you been there, or is this where you’re at today? Hudson wrote the song during a daily songwriting challenge, and the lyrics carry a lifetime of following Jesus: the disappointments, the desperation, and the hope that has outlasted them.
