Amanda Joy Powell - This Child of Bethlehem (Christmas)

Amanda Joy Powell - This Child of Bethlehem
Amanda Joy Powell has released a Christian Christmas (CCM) track called 'This Child of Bethlehem'.

When I was going through a collection of Christmas music, I came across a song released in December 2020 called “This Child of Bethlehem' by Amanda Joy Powell. I enjoy Amanda's beautiful voice, it is the kind of voice that I can listen to again and again—but more importantly, I want to share this song with you!

Amanda's Christmas message is one that I feel everyone needs to hear. She sings: 'He came so softly to this world, no one could fathom that He would choose this way. He chose a manger not a throne, humble beginnings for the one who came to save.'

She continues: 'The angels sing about Him, for He alone is worthy. The shepherds bow down before His glory. This baby is the promise, He’s the redeeming plan! He changes everything!'

I think we can all agree that these lyrics are so important at this time of year—and even more so during other times of the year as well! We hope you'll listen to Amanda's song below and enjoy it as much as we have!

Sarah Kroger, Nathan Jess - Belovedness - Live (CCM)

Are you tired of feeling inadequate and alone in your struggles? Have a look at Sarah Kroger's 'Belovedness,' a powerful ballad that reminds us of our worth as children of God. Initially released on Kroger's sophomore album, 'Light,' during the peak of a global healthcare crisis, 'Belovedness' quickly found a following among those battling mental health challenges. The revisited live version, recorded in a barn-turned-studio in the UK countryside, offers a sweet, intimate take on the song, featuring Northern Irish singer-songwriter Nathan Jess on vocals. Kroger wrote the song during a period of personal growth, as she discovered the truth of her identity through reading Henri Nouwen's 'Life of The Beloved.' The lyrics remind us to let go of our past mistakes and the lies we've been told, and to embrace the truth of our belovedness. This song is not only for the Christian community, it is also for anyone struggling with their identity, loo
